I assure you that all the physical practices will be adapted in the social distancing rules. We have also taken proper measures in view of the COVID guidelines in the way that the food will be served throughout the retreat, as your safety and health is our top priority.

Join me for an 8-day eco-luxury retreat in the captivating island of Kythera, a secret paradise that has been my summer sanctuary for years and let me teach you how to break your barriers, trust your authenticity and unleash your maximum potential.

Together we'll be weaving the pathway to a happier and more meaningful life, practicing mindfully Yoga, Breathwork, Dance, Meditation and Rituals, connecting with the healing qualities that Nature offers to our body, mind, and spirit.

Our serene ocean view Eco Resort will nourish our senses with the soothing sounds of the sea, while our local vegan chef will nurture our lifespan with delicious colorful dishes so we can deeply rest, relax and refocus our energies.

We will adapt in the new situation, keeping social distancing but we will connect deeply with Nature!

In our daily experiences, I will show you the hidden natural gems of the Kythera island following the sacred traces of Water like a tribe. We will honor the wild within by immersing in golden sandy beaches, reaching mystic womb-like caves by private boat, hiking to cascade waterfalls, and re-birthing in green-blue lagoons.

As an authentic wanderlust spirit, I can't wait to take you to the spectacular Byzantine castles, monasteries, and museums as well as to introduce you to my local friends, visiting their enchanted villages, browsing handwoven fabrics, therapeutic herbs, and local homemade delicacies.

Through the years, the mystical island of Kythera has become my off-the-beaten-track ultimate reset sanctuary. Captivating and magical, enigmatic and mysterious, and inspirational for filmmakers, artists, and songwriters, Kythera holds me spellbound.

I feel blessed foot stepping on the unspoiled white sands, immersing in the crystal blue waters and swinging between myths and reality in emerald lagoons, amazed by the natural beauty of this island.

Legend has it that Aphrodite, the goddess of beauty, emerged from the foam of the Kytherian sea, so it is no wonder that this island possesses a raw beauty which can be found in its countless trails, pure and untouched beaches hidden in craggy rocks, rugged gorges, secret waterfalls, medieval castles hanging from the clouds, scenic villages, fairytale valleys, lush vegetation and fertile soil famous for its culinary products.

An authentic cultural identity preserved by friendly and generous local people, many of them my good friends by now, Kythera is a dreamland that always reveals to me the secrets of my soul.

Kaladi Rock is an exclusive eco-resort with stunning sunset and sea views. Situated directly on the award-winning blue flag beach of Kaladi, on the coastal region of ancient Skandia where the beautiful ancient goddess Aphrodite was worshipped in the 6th century B.C. Stone walls combined with total white houses equipped with minimalistic furniture generate a very attractive atmosphere. All rooms have private entrances, bathrooms and balconies or patios overlooking the serene view of Kaladi beach.

Your retreat leader & teacher

I am Apostolia Papadamaki, an internationally acclaimed choreographer, and a transformational retreat leader and teacher. I studied Contemporary Dance, Contact Improvisation, Yoga and Alexander Technique in New York. As a lover of healing arts, and spirituality, I am trained in Shamanism, Music, Voice, Diving, Craniosacral Therapy, and Rei-Ki collaborating with inspiring artists, healers, and teachers in many lands. I love to dream and I believe in infinite possibilities. My highest intention is to keep opening the eyes of the soul and tuning into the frequency of Love no matter how life challenges me. The Happiness Retreat is an open-hearted invitation to share knowledge, experience, and joy with beautiful souls like you!

Teachings / Practices

We will apply social distancing rules in all our practices.

Yoga & Breathwork

Our Hatha Vinyasa Yoga practice, in conjunction with the principles of Biomatic Anatomy, is linking movement with breath and awakens your body/spirit awareness. You will learn how to develop a daily practice of graceful movement sequences, details of physical and esoteric physiology and therapeutic relaxation techniques.

Dance & Voice

Spirit Contact-Dance will ground you, shaking and pulsing will release tension, increase blood circulation, and connect you with the cosmic energy of the Earth. Gradually your breath will expand into sound and your voice will be liberated. Entering a state of profound soul connection, establishing a deep level of freedom - you will reach a euphoric state of being.

Water Spirit Contact Dance is an aquatic bodywork that will enable you to embody the art of true belonging and trust oneness in the fluidity of the sea. Through gentle stretches and fluid movements, your body will enter deep states of relaxation and awareness, which then can release physical, mental and emotional tension, and open the doorways for a personal, transformative experience. Joy, release, freedom, and renewed energy are only some of the gifts received through this rebirthing experience.

Sharing Circle, Rituals & Meditation

Sharing Circle is a sacred inclusive space that will support you to feel free to express your deepest longings, release old patterns and fears, shift perspective and activate new decisions, while simple yet profound Rituals will teach you how to fully enjoy your experience and be grateful to yourself, your community and the earth. Guided meditations will lead you into the deepest self-insights and most powerful realizations.

Nutrition / Our local Vegan chef

Kythira is also famous for its local products, thyme honey, olive oil, and Cytherean salt to mention a few. We are happy to have onboard Elizabeth Stais, a renowned local cook and producer who will indulge you in the local cuisine with mouthwatering authentic recipes, using fresh fruits and vegetables from her own garden and local organic products known for their healing qualities.
Breakfast and dinner are served in a buffet-style while lunch can be carried out on the beach.

Elizabeth is living on the island for the last 27 years and apart from cooking for us, she will be happy to share her knowledge of traditions and cuisine of this unique island.

Our planned unique experiences while exploring the island will also give us the opportunity to dive deep in the island’s culinary traditions, meet legendary local cooks, and taste authentic local recipes dating from Ancient Greek times.

How to get there

AIRPLANE

To reach the island by air there are daily flights from the Athens airport to Kythira. The flight takes about 50 minutes and the companies that fly are Olympic Airlines and Sky Express.
Sky Express also flies to Kythera from Chania, Zante, Corfu, Cephalonia, Preveza

CAR/ BUS / FERRY BOAT

To reach Kythera by car you must first arrive at the port of Neapolis located on the south edge of the Peloponnese. From Neapolis, there are regular daily ferries to Kythera. From Piraeus every Wednesday and Friday, and from Crete three times a week.
